What is an A HEART Baby Shower?
These unique baby showers serve a dual purpose. Everyone brings an unwrapped infant gift to (YOU) the Hostess, who then donates all items to A HEART. We inform and educate all attendees on the crises that are affecting the lives of so many American infants. We share current statistics and sad but true stories of infants in crises. We inform them of a variety of ways they can make a difference. All the items donated are then taken to these families with similar situations and stories. They are encouraged to get involved by volunteering and learning more about agencies like A HEART and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
How to Host an A HEART Baby Shower?
Hosting a baby shower is an easy and fun way to make a big difference in the life of a Special Heart Baby
Chose a date and location
Some possible locations: Your home, church, school, community centers (if approved) just about anywhere.
10 or more guests
Invite: Family, Friends, Neighbors, Co-workers, etc.
Contact A Heart in order to confirm a date
A Heart provides a shower coordinator/ invitations, games, video presentation (7 min)
The event is approx one hour and thirty minutes, without including time to eat
Including eating time two hours total
Depending on the time of day the refreshments can be as simple as fruit, cake, and beverage
Need Television and DVD player for video presentation
All gifts must be unwrapped or placed in gift bags.
